Broncos place sixth at Battling in the Desert in Hobbs

On Tuesday afternoon New Mexico Military concluded play at Battling in the Desert with a sixth place finish as a team. The two-day competition was held in Hobbs, NM at the Rockwind Community Links Golf Course. On Monday, October 6, the Broncos finished play in sixth place as a team after two rounds of golf. 

Individually, Marvin Lee led the way as he finished sixth overall with a of (-1) after three rounds. In the first round he tallied a 67 and followed up with a 75 in round two. On Tuesday he scored a 73, just one over par.

Lucas Bjorelind hit (+6) over the two days - enough for a 22nd place finish and Gianni Perilli placed 30th with a (+8).

The Broncos will be back in action Thursday, October 30-31, as they compete at the NJCAA National Preview in Newtown, KS at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club.
