In the first half the Broncos scored the first points of the game with an easy two-point attempt by Joel Pinto. However, Howard would respond almost immediately with a three to take the lead. From that point on NMMI was able to tie the game 7-7. That would be the closest the Broncos would get to taking the lead.

After being tied 7-7, Howard went on a 27-17 run as they took a 12-point lead, the largest of the game at that point with 5:15 left in the half. After a fastbreak dunk by Taye Williams the Broncos made it a 34-28 ballgame with 3:47 on the clock.

The Hawks would close out the half strong as they headed into halftime with a 45-31 advantage.

In the second half it was all Howard. Starting with a 16-point lead, the visitors were able to double their lead and take a 96-65 with just around three minutes remaining in the game.

The Broncos struggled offensively as they went on to drop back-to-back conference games with a 104-69 loss.

Head Coach Sean Schooley on the loss, "we're just not doing what we're supposed to do. I give credit to Kelvin John for matching up defensively with one of the best players in the country. Our guards are playing hard but overall, we're just not shooting the ball well," Schooley said. "We usually fight for every board and today we got outrebounded by 14 and that's not a recipe for success," Schooley said.
