The game opened with a pair of punts by each offense on their first drive. When NMMI got the ball back they started their march. The Broncos conducted an efficient 10-play, 65-yard drive to take a quick 7-0 lead. On the drive, Jake South tallied 30 yards on two attempts to set the NMMI offense on the Tyler side of the field. Dylan Donahoe capped off the drive with an 8-yard rushing touchdown to put the home team ahead.

Near the end of the quarter, NMMI stopped a goal line try by the Apaches to keep them out of the end zone as they took over on their own 5-yardline to end the first quarter with a 7-0 advantage.

After an NMMI punt, the Broncos came away with an interception as Ricky Harding snagged a ball out the air to get the offense back onto the field. On the next play, the Broncos got creative with what looked to be a reverse to Geramyah Porter but he extended the play and found Samuel Monfre in the back of the end zone to take a 14-0 lead after the successful extra point by Jack Nelson.

Once again, NMMI came up with a takeaway as Dylan Chichester picked off Tre Guerra. In six plays the Broncos moved the ball 31 yards but they settled for a 27-yard field goal attempt to take a 17-0 heading into halftime.

Q3

On Tyler's third possession of the quarter, they conducted a 6-play, 78-yard drive as Tre Guerra found Gentz Hilburn from 63 yards out to make it a 17-6 game after Tyler failed the extra point attempt. On offense, the Broncos were held scoreless in the quarter as they led 17-6 heading into the final period.

Q4

Down 11 points, Tyler opened the fourth quarter with a 50-yard passing touchdown to make it a 17-12 ballgame as Tre Guerra connected with Amari Henry to make it a close game. Near the end of the game, NMMI attempted a 40-yard field goal but the kick was wide left and set Tyler up with one final opportunity.

On the final drive of the contest, Tyler started it off with a 43-yard completion to get into NMMI territory. The Apaches were able to keep their drive alive with a pair of fourth down conversions. Tre Guerra connected with Gentz Hilburn on the final play of the game from 24-yards as they secured an 18-17 win as the clock expired.
