In the third quarter it was the Lackey and Clark show. After a quiet first quarter, Lackey scored 10 of her 26 total points in the quarter to create a seven-point lead after the first three quarters. Neveah Clark added in seven of her own as the duo scored 17 of the 17 points for the Lady Colts in the period. Q4

Up by seven points the NMMI kept their foot on the gas in the final quarter. In the final period, Neveah Clark went 4-for-4 at the free throw line as she tallied eight points in the quarter to lead all scorers. Hot Springs attempted to comeback late but three consecutive steals late in the game by Kaytlyn Lackey secured the 59-48 win for the Lady Colts.

Head Coach Lawerence Hall on the win, “I’m extremely proud of our girls and how they responded in the third quarter. After a sloppy finish to the first half, I challenged the team and answered that challenge almost immediately,” Hall said. “I told them if they want to be a high-level team this is how we have to navigate through the storm and find a way to not only do our best but get back in front and that’s exactly what they did all the second half,” Hall said.
