The boys and girls Colt athletes who either qualified by times and marks, or who placed first or second at the district meet, will go on to compete at the NMAA 3A State Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Boys Colt track and field team was able to accomplish a tie of 16 points for 10th place with Carlsbad High School. Unfortunately for the Lady Colts, the competition was hard, and they wound up placing last with only three points. While the boys and girls teams may not have stolen first place, there were a few individual athletes who were able to qualify for state, giving them a chance for redemption!
